DMCA Policy

Settler.ae respects the intellectual property rights of others. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) and other applicable intellectual property laws. This page explains our policy for responding to copyright infringement claims.

Filing a Copyright Infringement Notification

If you believe content on Settler.ae infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated agent. Your notice must include all required information for a valid DMCA claim. We will review all legitimate claims.

For a valid DMCA takedown notice, you must include the following elements:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. This should include titles, authors, and URLs if applicable.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity. You must provide information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material.
  • Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Counter-Notification Process

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send us a counter-notification. This allows us to restore the content, subject to certain conditions. A counter-notice must also meet specific legal requirements.

For a valid counter-notification, you must include the following elements:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled. You must provide the location where the material appeared before it was removed or access was disabled.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which Settler.ae may be found.
  • A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original copyright infringement notification or an agent of such person.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material.

Repeat Infringer Policy

Settler.ae maintains a strict policy regarding repeat infringers. We will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. This applies to contributors or users who repeatedly post infringing content.
